Louis Markoya, “In the Beginning”
I am happy today to introduce my latest work; “In the Beginning” Oil on canvas, 24”x20” later to be converted to a 3D lenticular print Few of us have any lucid memory of our intrauterine time, and while we all have this separate but common experience, it enters out thought process so very little. The womb has been often described as paradise and being born paradise lost. This paradise, meticulously painted in this fractal womb, contains recognizable icons of the universe, life, death and more. Present, yet unknown to the fetus, everything is there. I hope in presenting this image, it can spark memories in viewers, bringing you back to your own paradise lost, allowing you to smile in the assuredness of being more or less completely safe, secure and without worry in a world that was both finite and everything.
